Tour de Fleece 2026 - C'est La Vie - yarn edition

Most spinners have heard of the Tour de Fleece, which is held every year on Ravelry. Ravelry is an international platform for knitters and crocheters. During the three weeks of the Tour de France spinners happily tread or spin on their wheel or spindle.

Like last year, there will also be a yarn edition again, with a glittery yarn option!! Overall theme of this year’s Tour de Fleece yarn calendar is ‘C’est La Vie’, The calendar has the format of the Trivial Pursuit game, so there will be questions and you may guess the answers. It will be a lot of fun! Afterwards you can save the questions and answers for your next pub quiz on New Year’s Eve!

The game guides you through the Tour de France by answering questions on some of the famous films, actors and actresses that France has known, i.e. ‘Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulin’, ‘Chocolat’ or ‘Manon des Sources’. At the end  awaits the Victory at the Champs Élysées! There is a reward waiting, which one…? That cannot be revealed yet ;-).

What can I expect?

  • 21 mini skeins (10 or 20grs.) individually wrapped and numbered in:
    • Merino sock (75% sw merino - 25% nylon; 10gr./42.5m.; 20gr./85m.);
    • BFL sock (75% sw merino - 25% nylon; 20gr./85m.);
    • Glitter sock (75% sw merino 20% nylon - 5% silver stellina sparkle 10gr./40m.; 20gr./80m. );
    • HT merino sock (80% sw merino – 20% nylon - 20gr./73m.);
    • Singles (100% sw merino – 20gr./73m.).
  • Goodies;
  • Knitting pattern;
  • Coffee, tea, chocolate and sweets.

  • a three full skein option:
  • 3 x 100grs skeins in bfl sock, merino sock, basic sock, HT merino sock or singles;

On some days the cyclists rest and on those days you don't knit or spin.

There is an option to order an extra 100gr skeins (at additional cost) in addition to the yarn kit, so that you have enough yarn to use for a bigger project.

It's also possible to order both. Choose 'The Full Monty' if you wish to order both the yarn and spinbox. A free projectbag is included! Please indicate what type of yarn you wish when you order!

What colours can I expect?

Gorgeous darker and lighter colours, beautifully arranged in a fade (see pictures).

Each mini skein will be hand dyed in an exclusive colourway. You can expect solids, semi solids, variegated or speckled skeins. The skeins will be dyed in a fade, so you can start knitting right away. The colours can be knitted in the order they are opened or you can mix them in different ways.

These pictures are of course an indication, the real magic often happens while dyeing. I use these pictures for inspiration and this is very subjective and also a matter of taste. My interpretation might be completely different from your ideas or opinions. Buying a 'mystery' kit is always a risk.

Until when can I sign up?

This calendar is a pre-order and I will keep this listing open until the 20th of April 2026 or until they've sold out. There's a discount of 5% if you subscribe before the 20th of March 2026. Use the code 'tourdefleece2026' while checking out.

When will the yarn box be shipped?

The kits will ship between the 8 and 15th of June 2026. As soon as the box is closed, you will receive a track & trace code.
