Tour de Fleece 2026 - C'est La Vie - spinbox

Most spinners have heard of the Tour de Fleece, which is held every year on Ravelry. Ravelry is an international paltform for knitters and crocheters. During the three weeks of the Tour de France spinners happily tred or spin on their wheel or spindle.

For this occasion, I will assemble a spinbox in the format of a Trivial Pursuit game. Overall theme of this year’s Tour de Fleece yarn calendar is ‘C’est La Vie’, The calendar has the format of the Trivial Pursuit game, so there will be questions and you may guess the answers. It will be a lot of fun! Afterwards you can save the questions and answers for your next pub quiz on New Year’s Eve!

The game guides you through the Tour de France by answering questions on some of the famous films, actors and actresses that France has known, i.e. ‘Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulin’, ‘Chocolat’ or ‘Manon des Sources’. At the end  awaits the Victory at the Champs Élysées! There is a reward waiting, which one…? That cannot be revealed yet ;-).

There will be three editions: 21x 5grams for spindle spinners and 21 x 10/20grs. for spinners with hungry spinning wheels (or spindles).

And…, for the knitters among us there’s also a yarn edition, with a glittery yarn option!

It's also possible to order both. Choose 'The Full Monty' if you wish to order both the yarn and spinbox. A free projectbag is included! Please indicate what type of yarn you wish when you order!

What fibres can I expect?

Different sorts of medium to fine wool fibres (for example rambouillet, Polwarth, merino-silk or south American). There will be a mix of hand dyed combed tops and there may be some commercial fibres in form of rolags, batts and combed tops.

What colours can I expect?

All colours within the colour spectrum, inspired by these beautiful accompanying photographs, beautifully arranged in a fade.

On some days the cyclists rest and on those days you don't knit or spin.

These pictures are of course an indication, the real magic often happens while dyeing. I use these pictures for inspiration and this is very subjective and also a matter of taste. My interpretation might be completely different from your ideas or opinions. Buying a 'mystery' kit is always a risk.

This calendar is a pre-order and I will keep this listing open until the 20th of April 2026 or until they've sold out. There's a discount of 5% if you subscribe before the 20th of March 2026. Use the code 'tourdefleece2026' while checking out.

When will the box be shipped?

The kits will ship between the 8 and 15th of June 2026. As soon as the box is closed, you will receive a track & trace code.
