Fibre Advent 2024

I am happy to present to you the Wolbeest Fibre Advent Calendar! There will only be a limited edition of this spinning calendar!

This year’s theme

This year's calendar will be inspired by ‘Indian Summer’ (24 days) and ‘Purple, blue & teal’(12 days). It's all about gorgeous bright, dark, light and vibrant colours!

What is an advent calendar?

An advent calendar is a countdown calendar until Christmas day, a fun way to spend the time before Christmas by opening a package every day. There will be 24 (or 12) exclusively hand dyed or hand made and hand dyed rolags, 20-25 grams separately and nicely wrapped. Approx. 500grs (or 250) of spinning material that you can spin at your leisure and turn into beautiful yarns that can be knitted or crocheted in warm and gorgeous garments!

What kind of materials will be included?

There will be a big variety of hand dyed combed tops, hand carded batts and rolags consisting of different types of wool (also commercially dyed or processed wool) and may include fibres such as merino, falkland, corriedale, BFL, rambouillet, polwarth, shetland, yak, mixed with other luxury fibres such as alpaca, camel, flax, mulberry silk, tussah silk, yak, bamboo, soy-silk, angora and maybe some sparkles as well!

Also included are some theme or knitting related goodies and doping (sweets and teas) to keep you going!

What colours can I expect?

To give you an idea I have added some pictures and moodboards, so colours will vary from dark to light, variegated, tonals, semi-solids, combinations of colours, mainly bright, very colourful and dark and some daring colour combinations as well. There might be some sparkles too! The calendar will be dyed in a gradient order, but you can of course change this order as you please or prefer.

I use these pictures for inspiration and this is very subjective and also a matter of taste. My interpretation might be completely different from your ideas or opinions. Buying a 'mystery' kit is always a risk.

Until when can I order?

Until the end of June 2024 or until I start dyeing this calendar.

When will the calendars be dispatched?

Canada, USA, Europe and the Netherlands: orders will be shipped starting September 2024.

NOTE! Once purchased, the spin calendar box will not ship until September 2024!!!

Price:

The price of the large calendar is € 149.50 and the small one costs €95.00.

PayPal, credit card or via bank transfer.

There is a special discount for everyone who orders a calendar before the 30th of April, an early bird discount of 5%! You can use the code: earlybird2024 at the checkout. After 30 April regular prices will be charged.

It is possible to pay for the calendar in 2 instalments (no early bird discount). You pay a €50 deposit (non refundable) and the rest in two instalments; the 1^st  on the 31^st of May and the 2^nd on the 31^st of July (via a payment request via PayPal).

Once purchased, I will begin ordering supplies straight away. I’m afraid I cannot accept cancellations.
