I just love the transition from autumn to winter. I enjoy the colours of autumn immensely, the different shades of brown, ochre, red and orange, but also the dark browns, the moody greys of the beginning of winter! People stay inside, make things cosy with candles and small lights. I often feel introspective somehow. What have the past months been like, what went well, what would I have done differently, what plans do I have for next year? Sitting next to the wood stove, rain slashing against the windows, the howling wind in the chimney, home made comfort food, a hot cacao, an interesting knit and watching a movie or series on Netlfix. Wonderful!

I found some beautiful pictures for inspiration online and I cannot wait to get started! The 'Autumn into Winter' sock kit is a wonderful kit for every knitter! The best thing is that you may choose your own colourways! You may choose several different colourways or more skeins of one colourway for a bigger knitting project. There's also a DK yarn option this year! I cannot think of a better way to spend my evening than to knit socks or a sweater with yarn in fall or winter colours! 

What’s included in the Autumn into Winter November Sock Month kit?

  • 4 or 5 x 100gr. or 4 or 5x 120gr. (100gr. skein + 2x 20gr. mini) in merino sock, bfl sock, HT merino sock or basic sock yarn (a basic sock set is 150gr.);
  • Sock knitting pattern;
  • Themed goodies, exclusively handmade and selected for each mood board;

There are different yarn options:

  • Wolbeest merino sock (75% sw merino – 25% nylon); 100gr./425m. - 20gr./85m.
  • Wolbeest bfl sock (75% sw BFL – 25% nylon); 100gr./425m. - 20gr./85m.
  • Wolbeest HT sock (80% sw merino – 20% nylon); 100gr/365m. - 20gr./73m.
  • Basic sock set (75% sw virgin wool – 25% nylon); 100gr./420m - 50gr./210m)
  • Wolbeest DK (75% sw merino – 25% nylon); 100gr./225m. - 20gr./45m.

How does it work?

First you select the yarn kit of your choice and then you select the different colourways you fancy (you have to scroll to the second page!) and put them in your shopping cart.

What colours can I expect?

Colourful skeins of sock yarn inspired by the different photographs. You may expect variegated, specked or more tonal skeins. Just go for the surprise! 

Until when can I subscribe?

Until the 16th of November 2025 or until sold out. There's an early bird discount of 5% if you order before the 1st of November. Use the code ‘novembersock’ while checking out.

If you order other items together with this yarn kit then these will ship at the same time/together. Should you want to receive these items earlier, then order these items separately please.

When will this yarn kit ship?

This yarn kit will ship between the 2nd and the 4th of December.

Project bags

There is also a beautiful, autumn inspired project bag that you can buy, big enough to keep your skeins nice and snug (2 sock knitting projects)! All the fabrics I use to make these bags are high-quality and made of 100% cotton.

Note

The pictures are of course an indication, the real magic often happens while dyeing. I use these colour schemes for inspiration and this is very subjective and also a matter of taste. My interpretation might be completely different from your ideas or opinions. Buying a 'mystery' kit is always a risk.
