12 days of Christmas 2023

"The Twelve Days of Christmas" is an English Christmas carol that enumerates in the manner of a cumulative song a series of increasingly numerous gifts given on each of the twelve days of Christmas (the twelve days that make up the Christmas season, starting with Christmas Day). A large number of different melodies have been associated with the song, of which the best known is derived from a 1909 arrangement of a traditional folk melody by English composer Frederic Austin.

In Tudor times, people would celebrate Christmas for a period of 12 days starting December 26 until January 6, to get through these very dark and cold times as there wasn’t a lot of daylight in the middle of winter. The would celebrate with lots of good food and drink and make merry!

The 12 Days of Christmas box is all about that!
