March - The Hobbit Sock Month

During Christmas we watched The Hobbit trilogy. It was so wonderful to watch these again after such a long time and so inspiring that I decided to make March The Hobbit Sock month! I am going on an adventure! Will you join me on this adventure together with Bilbo, the dwarfs, the elves and Gandalf?

What is the Hobbit Sock Month?

Throughout the month of March you will receive a weekly parcel with yarny gorgeousness in your mailbox. Something to really look forward to!  You can start knitting right away as a knitting pattern is included.

What’s in The Hobbit Sock Month kit?

• 2 x 100grs skein
• 1 x selfstriping skein
• 1x set of 5 x 20grs mini-skeins
• Sock knitting pattern
• Goodies

There are two different yarn options:

• Wolbeest merino sock (75% sw merino – 25% nylon); 100gr./425m. 20gr./85m.
• Wolbeest BFL sock (75% sw BFL – 25% nylon); 100gr./425m. 20gr./85m.

The selfstriping skein will be Wolbeest merino sock yarn.

When will the parcels be sent?

On 10, 17, 24 and 31 March 2023. It is also possible to receive the kit at the end of the month. For those of you who live abroad there’s one shipment at the end of March.

What colours can I expect?

The colours will be based on the accompanying pictures. There may be variegated, speckled, semi-solid skeins or tonals and ton sur ton. Just go for the surprise!

These pictures are of course an indication, the real magic often happens while dyeing. I use these pictures for inspiration and this is very subjective and also a matter of taste. My interpretation might be completely different from your ideas or opinions. Buying a 'mystery' kit is always a risk.
